今週末4月1日(土) 恵比寿LIQUIDROOMに”RPR SOUNDSYSTEM”と彼らのオフィシャルVJ DREAMRECが揃って登場する。
RPR SOUNDSYSTEMは世界のミニマルシーンを牽引するRhadoo、Petre Inspirescu、Rareshの3名から成るカリスマユニットだ。あの奇跡の夜が今度は完全体で体験できる。
各々を簡単に紹介すると、現行シーンにおいてトップDJの一人であると同時に世界を席巻するルーマニアの事実上のボスであるRhadoo。卓越したプレイはもとよりその生み出される作品群が世界最高レベルのクオリティーの評価を獲得している唯一無二のアーティストPetre Inspirescu。2014年まで所属したCOCOONなどでのワールドワイドな活躍により3人の中でも特にメジャーシーンにおいても抜群の名声を確立しているRaresh。といった抜群の構成バランスがこのユニットの特長としてまず挙げられる。それは音楽面だけではなく、彼らの人間的な魅力にも同じ事が言える。その基盤がないとこうはならない。
世界中からラブコールを浴びる中、RPR SOUNDSYSTEM名義での出演は年間5本までと決められている。そこでもこの公演の貴重性は確認できるが、そういった物理的な事だけが理由ではない。2年前の来日時、埋め尽くされた会場の中、彼らの音楽を肌で感じた一人一人がそれを一番よく分かっているはすだ。経歴や理屈以外の部分を。4月1日(土)恵比寿LIQUIDROOMで再びそれが体験できる。

Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Raresh… three top bosses of the Romanian scene that has dominated the world’s underground music in recent years. Their appearance as RPR SOUNDSYSTEM at the LIQUIDROOM on April 4, 2015 left a huge footprint in the history of our club scene. The audience’s enthusiasm, the atmosphere in the venue, and artists’ performances all came together to create a dreamlike evening unlike anything ever experienced before. An experience that could only be described simply as amazing, and is still remembered as an important page in the history of the scene in Japan.
Two years on from that exciting moment, they will return to the same place.
Additionally, this time we are fortunate to have Dreamrec (official VJ for [a:rpia:r]) joining them for this very special moment when their team finally becomes complete. Dreamrec’s visual performance at “Beat In Me feat. Rhadoo with Dreamrec VJ” (held here in February 2016) brought something highly innovative and never before seen in Japan, and left a huge impression on all the clubbers in attendance that night, garnering high praise and accolades from many who rated the night as one of the best that was no less impressive than the 2015 performance by the 3 members of RPR.
The merging of Dreamrec VJ’s spectacular visuals with RPR SOUNDSYSTEM’s music, all undeniably the club music scene’s premier level artists… there is perhaps no higher expression currently in underground music. The night promises to be a valuable and rare opportunity for all Japanese fans who are ready to experience the ultimate collaboration of sound and visuals.
